 | Sasha and I decided to explore some mining history in Leadville and see the famous rock walls of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. We then spent a few days in Mesa Verde exploring the ruins of an ancient civilization. | |
 | Bill's childhood buddy Dan Willard and his wife Marilyn welcomed us with open arms to Golden. We visited old haunts from the Colorado School of Mines to Goose Creek. Sasha caught his first fish, four Brook Trout. | |
 | We joined Tom and Kathy Hornbein in their new home and they showed us some of Tom's childhood haunts as well as some new ones. Steve Komito joined in hosting our visit and guided us to an old airplane crash site near Long's Peak. | |
 | With Rodeo Weekend and the Fifth Grade days away we headed home, spending a couple of nights around Yellowstone. The pumpkins and sunflowers had really grown in the month we were on the road. And Mom was more wonderful than ever! | |
